Welcome to Kingston Yacht Club

Incorporated by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts on April 24, 1895 to encourage boating, yachting and athletics, our active committees support that purpose and create a fun social environment for Club members. We sponsor safe boating and navigation courses, regattas, and popular social events; and provide scholarships to area students.

We welcome anyone interested in joining our membership. One of the best ways to get to know us is to join us for one of our events!

FALL SAILING PROGRAM

Junior Sailing Continues! A message from Junior Sailing Director, Calder Stames: .. Hello DBMS Community! I am thrilled to share that Jr. Sailing will continue throughout the Fall season. Starting this week, DBMS will be offering sailing programs during after-school hours. There will be a few changes that make these programs a little different from fall sailing in previous years. The biggest change we have made - we will only hold class during the high tide weeks. This change sets instructors and students up for success as far as maximizing time learning out on the Bay. Below are the three different offerings that begin this week. There are still some spots available so do sign up using the links if you want to get your children back outside for some on-the-water recreation! After School Opti Sail AGES 9-12 2 DAYS/WEEK This class is for sailors who have participated in Opti Magic, or higher. Held on Mondays and Wednesdays, classes run the following dates: Sept. 21, Sept. 23, Oct. 5, and Oct. 7. REGISTER After School Quest Sail AGES 12-15 2 DAYS/WEEK This class is an opportunity for students to learn basic boat handling and racing techniques and is designed to prep sailors for HS Sailing and having fun sailing about Duxbury Bay. We strongly recommend you sign your child up with a friend so we may pair them together for the duration of the program. RS Quests are two-person boats so your child will be sailing with another child in this particular boat. Held on Tuesdays and Thursdays, this class runs the following dates: Sept. 22, Sept. 24, Oct. 6, and Oct. 8. REGISTER HS 420 Fall Training AGES 14-18 4 DAYS/WEEK Practice Dates and Times: Mon-Thur 3:30-6pm Must have completed a 420 Beginner program or higher and must be a High School Student (Grades 9-12). REGISTER Currently, all classes run through the week of October 5th. Should the weather cooperate, we may be able to extend through October 19th.
